It was slippy and scaly with those wicked eyes
The snake in the tree of paradise
I could have waited till the apple fell
But then the snake would have no tale to tell

Into an exit sign, I left the garden

I was wearing a fig leaf to hide my nature
When somebody caught my eye

But I was soon pointing up at the sky

How can a flower be wrong?
I was threatened with a bullet in the night
To stop me dead in full flight
I saw this pathetic display of might
How can a gun be right?
